As the first new energy project invested by Power China in Central Asia, the "Kazakhstan selek" wind power project adopts Chinese standards in design, construction and construction, and is a landmark project of China Kazakhstan high-quality joint construction of "the Belt and Road". The Sherek project is located in the Sherek region in the southeast of Kazakhstan, about 170 kilometers away from Almaty, the largest city in Kazakhstan. A total of 24 wind turbine generators with a single unit capacity of 2.5 MW are installed in the project, with a total installed capacity of 60 MW, which can provide stable electricity for 70000 households and reduce 160000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions in Kazakhstan every year. All generator sets and power distribution equipment adopt Chinese technology and Chinese production, transmission and distribution equipment. Hengfengyou Electric Group has designed and produced 24 2500kva-0.69kv/35kv oil immersed box type step-up transformers for the project, which are all connected to the grid and operate normally.
