With a population of 23.8 million (in 2016), Ghana has a high electrification rate, but its power transmission and distribution equipment is seriously aging. In 2016, the power loss was as high as 21.3%, and the country urgently needs to upgrade and transform the existing power transmission and distribution system.

In December 2020, Hengfengyou Electric successfully delivered a batch of 253 low loss power distribution transformers for Ghana Power Company (ECG). ECG, as an important power enterprise in Ghana, is mainly responsible for power distribution in South Africa. This cooperation will help Hengfengyou Electric to further open the Ghana market.
