In recent years, the Ugandan government has made a lot of investment in power generation and high-voltage transmission. With the completion and operation of large hydropower stations such as Karuma and Isamba in the future, the total installed capacity of Uganda is expected to reach 2,051 MW in 2020. However, according to the current speed of grid development, by 2020, Uganda will consume only 733 megawatts of installed capacity, and the power supply and demand gap will reach 1,318 megawatts. This means that in the future Uganda will face a serious mismatch between power generation capacity and power consumption capacity, and it will also affect the economic benefits of large hydropower stations and high-voltage transmission lines built in Uganda in recent years. At the same time, the current level of rural electrification in Uganda is low, with a coverage rate of only about 7%. The general lack of electricity in rural areas has seriously affected the development of Uganda's economy, the improvement of people's living standards, and the people's support and support for the current government.

In view of the above situation, the next key work of the Ugandan government after the construction of large-scale hydropower stations and high-voltage transmission lines will be the rapid development of national distribution network construction and rural electrification construction.

The improvement has reduced the no-load loss and load loss of the transformer, improved the management level of local power operators, increased the reliability of meter operation, and provided a guarantee for future smart grid upgrades.

In order to ensure the long-term, effective and stable operation of the rural power grid in Uganda, Hengfengyou has formulated a detailed operation management and maintenance plan, including training, regular inspection, irregular consultation and answering and problem handling.

Effectively improve the living standards of Ugandans

The implementation of the project will effectively increase the coverage of rural power grids in Uganda and accelerate the process of rural electrification, thereby driving the development of small businesses in rural areas, accelerating the development of Uganda's economy and improving the living standards of local people. More importantly, this project will greatly improve the serious mismatch between Uganda's future power generation capacity and power consumption capacity, increase the economic benefits of Uganda's power generation and high-voltage transmission projects, and increase the Ugandan government's fiscal revenue.
